Local Australian producer Dugong Jr has been making waves over the last 6 months, with his dreamy dance remix of Destiny’s Child and slow jam edit of Dru Hill to name a few. Taking Miami Horror’sReal Slow” to a new direction, he really takes things up a notch in this latest remix, giving it the Dugong treatment. Continuing to form his defining sound, this remix proves that Dugong Jr will be one to watch in the coming future. The seasons may be changing but Dugong is keen to keep the warm upbeat vibes flowing. Beginning the track with those dreamy ‘bedroom pop’ vibes, it then rolls into a head boppin frenzy of synths, high pitched vocal cuts and bass. He has also put it up as a Free download so get while you can.

[GDD™ Premiere] Miami Horror – Real Slow (Tropicool Remix) Takes My Breath Away

I’ve got to be honest here– it’s pretty neat to see your best buds produce music you really love, particularly when it’s one of GDD’s own.  The first time Tropicool played this out, I leaned over and asked him what the Hell this remix was.  You can imagine my delight when he replied, “an old analog Juno and some incredible stems.”  You sly bastard.

His signature touch of feel-good cosmic radiation we know from his mixtapes and Waves ≠ Raves series shines through into his production as well, which that fabulous, fat bassline punches over all the way through.  I’m not huge on disco, but I’m a sucker for a big sexy groove when I can get it, and this one’s got me hooked.  Pour yourself a glass of rum and tell people it’s iced tea, there’s no turning back now… the funk has been unleashed.
